Roosevelt Lake
There was once a booming mining town here, but it is now submerged
beneath Roosevelt Lake. You can even see the tops of some of the
buildings sticking up out of the lake!

Take a memorable sleigh ride to feed the elk and view the majestic
animals as they perform in front of you. Listen to the stories of the
past and the history of how the Hap and Florence Points took it upon
themselves to feed the animals during the hard winter months.
Thunder Mountain Train
Take the Cabarton Flyer from Cascade and travel remote stretches of
the Payette River. Go under the Historic Rainbow Bridge and through the
shortest solid rock tunnel in the nation.
Chinook Salmon Run
Twice a year the waters turn red with the thousands of salmon making
their run along the South Fork of the Salmon River. It's an amazing
sight to see!

You'll find miles and miles of beautiful trails near
Cascade—everything from hiking and and cross country skiing trails to
ATV and Snowmobile trails.
